sweet new year
We spent the day in an apple orchard on Sunday and had so much fun.
Lulu was ultra enthusiastic about picking the brightest juiciest apples on the trees.
She's quite the little harvester.
She even ate one straight from the tree without the usual demands of no peel and sliced just so..
We are turning a corner in the food department folks. ..
I am having so much fun with her these days. Three is such an awesome age.
We just hang out and chat.
And boy can my girl chat....Endless stories and questions.
But I love it, I wish I could just freeze time and she would stay three forever...well maybe not forever...
It is fun though, and so damned adorable.
On another note-it's the Jewish New year tonight and we are going to some friends for dinner.
Good timing re: spending the day in an apple orchard, as one of the traditions is to eat apples & honey to signify a sweet new year.
Sounds good to me.
Shona Tova!
Oh and if you want a good laugh, watch HGTV tomorrow night at 8:30 and see if you can spot me.

Shana Tova to you!
3 has been a bit of a double edged sword around here. As we near 4, though, I think we are turning a corner!
Lucky you!! My son just turned 3 and since 2 1/2 he's been "terrible". My daughter was the same. It wasn't until she turned 4 that things started getting really fun.
Lovely pics of your apple picking! We love picking apples! We usually go 2-3 times during the season. We really love going to Carl Laidlaw Orchards out on Heritage Rd. Such a fun place for the kiddies! They have wagon rides, hay barn, a corn pit and a wheat berries table both with lots of tractors to move the corn and berries around, fresh corn boil, hot dog roast and last but not least, make your own apple pie. The owners are lovely too (Mark and Laura) and their new line of jams and jellies are YUM! I am totally loving the cranberry with garlic jelly used as a glaze on meat. Ok, I'm making myself hungry now.
Anyways, Shona Tova to you! I hope you have a great new year!
I've got it PVR'd baby!!!! VERY excited to watch, thanks for letting us know.
PS-I also love 3...still babyish enough to give plenty of hugs and snuggles but old enough to start to express their own ideas. I love 5 too, my oldest daughter is at a neat stage too (four and two...well lets just say that it's not as fun as three and five).
Oh I miss the apple orchards in fall... I'm sure there have to be some down here. It's just not the same when it's 85 degrees outside.
I can't wait for three... two is sooo difficult these days.
I can't wait until the Peanut starts doing all of these little things. She's quite a babbler now, so I think once she starts talking it's going to be fun.
You've been PVR'd, thanks for letting us know about the times!
