let's get physical

Is there anything better than working up a good sweat?
At least for me anyhow.
I LOVE a good work-out.
If I could, I would hit the gym at least five times a week.
I only wish.
But lately I have been at least managing to get there 3 times a week and it feels fantastic.
It makes me feel more energetic, sleep deeper and generally feel better about myself.
It doesn't hurt that some of the instructors at my gym are easy on the eyes.
And you know who I'm talking about ladies ;
"Ladies" referring to a few very savvy women that work out at my gym who figured out about this blog.
Yup, I was outed in the change room.
Thank g-d I wasn't naked.
Now that would have been mortifying.
So yes that's me, the sweaty one with the pink blotchy face, fixated on the hot instructor at the front of the class, trying my damndest to suck in my muffin top and to kick just that little bit higher every time he comes near me.
A girls gotta do what a girls gotta do.
Am I right ladies?
don't tell me you don't do the same...;
So now when I talk about my kick-ass-kick boxing instructor, certain people...uh hum...
know exactly who I'm talking about.
The only problem now is that it's really hard to keep a straight face during class when Mr.Hot pants is demonstrating various exercises for his most bodacious glutenous maximus.
Oh I'm sorry, I didn't quite get that, would you mind showing us again?
hee hee.
But in all seriousness, I really love doing challenging classes and feeling fit and healthy- it makes a world of difference.
How about you, what are you doing these days to stay fit?

I'm doing NOTHING and I feel it. Exercise has never been my thing, I don't think I stick with it long enough to become my thing. But I'm nearing 37 and I'm noticing my body change in ways I'm not so thrilled about plus I know that even mild exercise makes me mentally better. Good for you for your 3 times a week and more so for enjoying it!

I can't believe you were outed at the gym. I would be mortified to be outed anywhere! BTW, I saw your hubs on tv today!!!! You don't need any eye candy at the gym!!

Nothing. Don't even hate myself for it. Could use a kick in the pants over here.

Nothing. And I feel it. I was shredding last summer and loving it, but have not yet figured out how to work it into life now. Every time I think I have a free day when I could get working again, something else comes up - this week's day off involved my mother using power tools in my house, of all the stupid things. When's a girl supposed to sweat?

It started with boot camp last August and has continued with the 30 day shred. I am loving the DVD! It's easy to do, works up a decent amount of sweat and takes only 20 minutes of my day. I've lost 20 lbs and had to go into my closet to fish out some jeans that fit me. I hope to lose 17 more pounds and I'll be at my ideal weight.

Lol! You know you only got outed because you are not the only savvy lady obsessed with that particular instructor, and you happened to write about him on your blog before. The internet is a powerful thing! I too am trying to make it to the gym as often as possible, but my poor bod is screaming at me for it... Will I see you tomorrow? I know the instructor on Fridays is not as cute, but he is lots of fun anyway! Send me a note, I need to talk to you regardless... R.

What am I doing? Treadmill at home at least 4 days a week, lengths in the pool during the girl's weekly swimming lesson plus trying to squeeze in kick boxing again.

And trying to stay hydrated! Coffee does NOT count, eh?
